We Are Your Neighbors
The Ranch Quarry is owned by a local Whatcom County family that has lived on and cared for this property for more than 30 years. Their children and grandchildren also live on neighboring properties, making them part of the same community as those who live near the proposed quarry.
The proposed operator is also a multi-generational Whatcom County family business with more than 80 years of experience supplying sand, gravel, and hard rock materials throughout the region. As both local residents and local business owners, they understand the importance of operating responsibly and being good neighbors.
Our Mission
Our mission is to responsibly develop a locally designated mineral resource while protecting the environment, respecting our neighbors, and maintaining open communication with the community throughout the planning, permitting, and operation of the project.
Locally sourced construction materials are essential to building and maintaining roads, schools, homes, utilities, and other public infrastructure. Producing these materials closer to where they are needed helps reduce transportation distances, fuel consumption and import costs.
